SIX MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has six student-athletes ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games of September 29th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in six team categories.

Junior quarterback Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at right, is 13th in the nation in pass efficiency with a 168.6 rating and 35th in passing yards with 1,026 while junior linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS), pictured at left, is first in the nation in forced fumbles at 0.8 per game. 

Junior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS), pictured at bottom right, is tied for sixth in the country in field goals per game at 1.6 while junior running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is tied for 36th in punt returns with an average of 12.2 yards per return.

Junior linebacker Kevin McGorry (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is tied for 13th in country in forced fumbles with 0.6 per game while sophomore linebacker Jayson Williams (Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood HS) is tied for 17th in forced fumbles at 0.5 per contest.

Moravian is 19th in pass efficiency at 161.21, tied for 46th in punt returns at 11.5 yards per return, tied for second in fumbles recovered at 10.0, tied for 17th in turnovers gained at 15.0, tied for 35th in scoring offense at 32.6 points per game and tied for 47th in punt return defense, allowing just 5.0 yards per opponent punt return.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 6th in a Centennial Conference game versus Gettysburg College.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field in Bethlehem.
