FIVE MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has five student-athletes ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games of October 6th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in five team categories.

Junior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS), pictured at right, is third in the country in field goals per game at 1.7 with a school record ten field goals in six games.

Junior quarterback Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at left, is 14th in the nation in pass efficiency with a 159.9 rating and 32nd in passing yards with 1,255 while junior linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS), pictured at bottom right, is second in the nation in forced fumbles at 0.67 per game. 

Junior linebacker Kevin McGorry (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is tied for 12th in country in forced fumbles with 0.5 per game while sophomore linebacker Jayson Williams (Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood HS) is tied for 28th in forced fumbles at 0.4 per contest.

Moravian is 23rd in pass efficiency at 154/39, tied for 44th in punt returns at 11.5 yards per return, tied for second in fumbles recovered at 11.0, tied for tenth in turnovers gained at 18.0 and 28th in punt return defense, allowing just 4.55 yards per opponent punt return.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 13th in a Centennial Conference game at Franklin & Marshall College.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Sponaugle-Williamson Field in Lancaster.
