MORAVIAN’S CHRIS NEDEROSTEK HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE MEN’S SOCCER DEFENSIVE
PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Junior goalie Chris Nederostek (Lansdale, PA/Christopher Dock HS) of the Moravian College men’s soccer team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for his performance last week.

Nederostek, who also earned Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors on October 8th, led the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record last week in Landmark Conference action with a 2-1 overtime win at The University of Scranton and a 3-0 shutout of The Catholic University of America.  Nederostek had a 0.48 goals-against average for the week with just one goal allowed in 189:09 minutes of action, and he registered 18 saves in 19 shots on goal for a .947 save percentage.  The shutout of Catholic was Nederostek's second shutout of the season, and he made seven of his 18 saves in the contest.

Moravian, which is 6-10 overall and 3-3 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, October 23rd in a non-conference match at DeSales University beginning at 3:00 p.m.
