SIX MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has four student-athletes ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games of October 20th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in three team categories.

Junior quarterback Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at right, is 16th in the nation in pass efficiency with a 157.3 rating and 30th in passing yards with 1,686 while junior linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS) is tied for fourth in the nation in forced fumbles at 0.50 per game with four forced fumbles in eight games. 

Junior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS) is sixth in the country in field goals per game at 1.4 with a school record 11 field goals in eight games.  Reckenbeil, pictured at left, is 11 of 17 on field goals and has scored a school record 61 points for a kicker.

Junior defensive back Carl Robinson (Boothwyn, PA/Garnet Valley HS), pictured at bottom right, is tied for 22nd in the nation in interceptions at 0.6 interceptions with five interceptions in eight games.  Robinson has four interceptions in the last three contests for the Greyhounds.

Junior linebacker Kevin McGorry (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is tied for 25th in country in forced fumbles with 0.38 per game with three forced fumbles in eight contests while sophomore linebacker Jayson Williams (Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood HS) is tied for 32nd in forced fumbles at 0.33 with two forced fumbles in six contests.

Moravian is 20th in pass efficiency at 151.00, tied for 16th in fumbles recovered at 11.0 and tied for 27th in turnovers gained at 21.0.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 27th in a Centennial Conference game at Ursinus College.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Patterson Field in Collegeville.
