SIX MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has six student-athletes ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games of October 27th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in three team categories.

Junior quarterback Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at right, is 20th in the nation in pass efficiency with a 49.9 rating and 37th in passing yards with 1,853 while junior linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS), pictured at left, is tied for fifth in the nation in forced fumbles at 0.44 per game with four forced fumbles in nine games. 

Junior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS) is tied for 16th in the country in field goals per game at 1.2 with a school record 11 field goals in eight games.  Reckenbeil is 11 of 19 on field goals and has scored a school record 61 points for a kicker.

Junior defensive back Carl Robinson (Boothwyn, PA/Garnet Valley HS), pictured at right, is tied for 40th in the nation in interceptions at 0.6 interceptions with five interceptions in nine games.  Robinson had four interceptions in a three game stretch for the Greyhounds.

Junior linebacker Kevin McGorry (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is tied for 30th in country in forced fumbles with 0.33 per game with three forced fumbles in nine contests while sophomore linebacker Jayson Williams (Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood HS), pictured at left, is tied for 50th in forced fumbles at 0.29 with two forced fumbles in seven contests.

Moravian is 30th in pass efficiency at 144.63, tied for 24th in fumbles recovered at 11.0 and 30th in punt return defense, allowing just 5.16 yards per punt return by its opponents.

The Greyhounds are off this week and will close out the 2007 regular season on Saturday, November 10th in a Centennial Conference game at rival Muhlenberg College in Allentown.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Scotty Wood Stadium.
