FIVE MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has five student-athletes ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games of November 3rd, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in four team categories.

Junior quarterback Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at right, is 22nd in the nation in pass efficiency with a 149.9 rating having completed 122 of 212 passes for 1,853 yards with 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions in nine games.

Junior linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS), pictured at left, is tied for second in the nation in forced fumbles at 0.44 per game with four forced fumbles in nine games.  Junior linebacker Kevin McGorry (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is tied for 14th in country in forced fumbles with 0.33 per game with three forced fumbles in nine contests.

Junior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS), pictured at right, is tied for 16th in the country in field goals per game at 1.2 with a school record 11 field goals in nine games.  Reckenbeil is 11 of 19 on field goals and has scored a school record 61 points for a kicker.

Junior defensive back Carl Robinson (Boothwyn, PA/Garnet Valley HS), pictured at bottom left, is tied for 37th in the nation in interceptions at 0.6 interceptions with five interceptions in nine games.  Robinson had four interceptions in a three game stretch for the Greyhounds.

Moravian is 31st in pass efficiency at 144.63, 31st in punt return defense, allowing just 5.16 yards per punt return by its opponents, tied for 47th in fumbles recovered at 11.0 and 50th in team kickoff returns with an average of 20.49 yards per return.

The Greyhounds close out the 2007 regular season on Saturday, November 10th in a Centennial Conference game at rival Muhlenberg College in Allentown.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Scotty Wood Stadium.
