MORAVIAN’S ROBERT KADEL, TYLER McCAMBRIDGE & CARL ROBINSON NAMED TO
CENTENNIAL CONFERENCE FALL ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL

LANCASTER, PA --- Juniors defensive lineman Robert Kadel (Blairstown, NJ/North Warren HS), running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) and defensive back Carl Robinson (Boothwyn, PA/Garnet Valley HS) have been named to the 2007 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

The Centennial Conference recognized 327 student-athletes for performance in the classroom and field of play including 41 football players.  To be nominated for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student must meet the following criteria: be a starter or key reserve on the team, a sophomore or higher in class standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.

Kadel, pictured at right, has played in all nine of Moravian’s contests this season with one start on the defensive line.  He has contributed eight tackles with two tackles for loss of five yards and a fumble recovery that he returned 16 yards against Gettysburg College.  Kadel is majoring in pre-law and business management.

McCambridge, who has been on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team the last two seasons, has gained 428 yards on 99 carries this season with one touchdown and a long run of 27 yards despite missing two full games and parts of two others with injuries in 2007.  McCambridge, pictured at left, also became the 19th Greyhound to reach 1,000 career yards rushing on September 8th and has 1,265 yards on 283 carries with eight touchdowns.  McCambridge is majoring in biology.

Robinson pictured at right, has contributed 43 tackles, five interceptions, including four in a span of three games for the Greyhounds, and a forced fumble.  Robinson, who was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team this year, is one of Moravian’s four team captains this season.  Robinson is majoring in mathematics and secondary education.

Moravian, which is 6-3 overall and 4-3 in its first season in the Centennial Conference closes out the 2007 season on Saturday, November 10th with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff at rival Muhlenberg College in Centennial Conference action at Scotty Wood Stadium in Allentown.
