MORAVIAN’S KAYLA CARSON NAMED TO LANDMARK FIELD HOCKEY ALL-CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore forward Kayla Carson (Leesport, PA/Wyomissing HS) of the Moravian College field hockey team has been to the 2007 Landmark All-Conference Field Hockey Second Team announced Friday.

Carson helped the Greyhounds to a 7-8 record this fall including a 2-4 record in the inaugural Landmark Conference season.  Of Moravian’s eight losses, two were against nationally-ranked teams, three more were contests that the Greyhounds held a second half lead at one point and a sixth loss was one of three this season for Moravian by just one goal.

Carson led Moravian in scoring with nine goals and four assists for 22 points in 15 matches.  Carson had three game-winning goals, and her nine goals are the most for a Greyhound player in two seasons.  She had two goals, both game-winners, and two assists last fall as a freshman.
