MORAVIAN’S SYDNI WISNIEWSKI & JESSICA POSIMO HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE
WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Freshman sprinter Sydni Wisniewski (Orlando, FL/Winter Park HS) of the Moravian College women’s outdoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week while sophomore jumper/sprinter Jessica Posimo (Philadelphia, PA/St. Basil Academy) for their performances last week at the non-scoring Muhlenberg College Invitational.

Wisniewski, pictured at right, won three sprint events at the Muhlenberg Invitational, capturing the 100-meter dash in 12.61 seconds, the 200-meter dash in 26.06 seconds and the 400-meter dash in 59.58 seconds. She also ran a leg on Moravian's first place 4x100-meter relay team in 50.96 seconds.

Posimo, pictured at left, won a pair of events at the Muhlenberg Invitational, capturing the long jump at 5.09 meters (16 feet, 8 1/2 inches) and the triple jump with a distance of 10.96 meters (35 feet, 11 1/2 inches). Posimo also ran a leg on Moravian's winning 4x100-meter relay in 50.96 seconds. She was sixth in the 100-meter dash at 13.15 seconds after placing third in the preliminaries in 12.94 seconds, and Posimo was fourth in the 200-meter dash in 26.86 seconds.  Posimo was second in the 100-meter hurdles at 15.49 seconds.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 11th and Saturday, April 12th at the Bucknell University Bison Outdoor Classic and on Saturday, April 12th at The College of New Jersey Invitational.
