GREYHOUNDS MOVE TO FOURTH IN LATEST NCAA DIVISION III SOFTBALL REGIONAL POLL

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College softball team moved up one spot to fourth in the East Region in the third NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released late Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who have an in-region record of 29-4, which is what the poll is mainly based on, are behind Montclair State (NJ) University, Ramapo College of New Jersey and Rowan (NJ) University.  Moravian, which was fifth last week and eighth in the first poll of the year, is followed by Lebanon Valley College, Widener University, Kean (NJ) University and Haverford College.

Moravian, which is 30-6 overall and was a perfect 12-0 during the inaugural Landmark Conference regular season, is scheduled to return to action on Friday, May 2nd when the team hosts the 2008 Landmark Conference Tournament at Blue & Grey Field.  The top seeded Greyhounds will open the tournament at 11:00 a.m. versus fourth seed Drew University, and that game will be followed by second seed The University of Scranton against third seeded The Catholic University of America at 1:00 p.m.
