MORAVIAN MEN'S BASKETBALL PROGRAM AWARD SCHOENFELD SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD

BETHLEHEM, PA --- The Moravian College men's basketball program has been presented the 2008 Schoenfeld Sportsmanship Award by the Lehigh-Scranton chapter of the Collegiate Basketbal Officials Association.

The Greyhounds, under the direction of 28-year head coach Jim Walker, posted an 18-9 record during the 2007-08 season and played in both the inaugural Landmark Conference Tournament and the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. Moravian's 18 wins were one shy of tying the school record and the NCAA berth was the first for the program in 25 years.

Coach Walker was presented the award by CBOA Lehigh-Scranton chapter representative John Leighton.
