MORAVIAN’S TRACY FITZPATRICK NAMED TO NSCAA/adidas ALL-MID-ATLANTIC REGION SECOND TEAM

KANSAS CITY, KS --- Junior midfielder Tracy Fitzpatrick (Wantage, NJ/High Point Regional HS) of the Moravian College women’s soccer team has been named to the 2007 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team.

Fitzpatrick, who was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Player of the Year, led the 2007 Greyhounds in scoring with 14 goals and five assists for 33 points including six game-winning goals. Fitzpatrick missed the entire 2006 season due to an injury and is fifth in school history in scoring with 57 points in just two seasons.  She was member of the NSCAA/adidas All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team in 2005 as a freshman after scoring eight goals and eight assists for 24 points with three game-winning goals.

Fitzpatrick was one of six players from the Landmark Conference to earn All-Region honors.  Suzi Peters of The Catholic University of America joined Fitzpatrick on the second team while Katelyn Chambers, Diana Napolitano and Elyse Bellardini from Catholic and Laura Gibbons of The University of Scranton were named to the All-Region Third Team.

The Greyhounds posted a 15-6-1 record in 2007 while making the program’s second appearance in the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament in the last three years.  Moravian also had a 5-1 in the inaugural Landmark Conference season and finished as the conference runner-up.
