SOPHOMORE KIRSTY STEARNS, MORAVIAN TEAM RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III WOMEN’S BASKETBALL STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Sophomore forward Kirsty Stearns (East Norwich, NY/Oyster Bay HS) and the Moravian College women’s basketball team are ranked in free throw percentage in the second NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2007-08 season including games through January 6th.

Stearns is 15th in the nation in free throw percentage at 89.7 percent for the season.  Stearns is 35 of 39 at the line in 11 games.

Moravian is ranked 36th in free throw percentage this season at 72.9 percent, making 202 of 277 free throw attempts.

The Greyhounds, who are 8-3 overall and 1-0 in Landmark Conference action, will return to the court on Wednesday, January 9th, 2008 in a non-conference game at NCAA Division II East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania tipping off at 7:00 p.m.
