MORAVIAN’S RACHEL BECK HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore sprinter Rachel Beck (Churchville, PA/Council Rock South HS) of the Moravian College women’s indoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Beck helped Moravian to a sixth place finish at the 16th Annual John Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University. Moravian was the top NCAA Division III team in the event and defeated two NCAA Division I programs.

Beck earned four points with a fourth place finish in the 60-meter dash in 8.13 seconds, and she earned another two points for a fifth place showing in the 200-meter dash in 26.73 seconds.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, February 2nd at the Thomson Invitational being hosted by the University of Delaware.
