MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM RANKED EIGHTH IN MID-ATLANTIC REGION

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College men's basketball team is ranked eighth in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released on Wednesday for games through February 10th.

The Greyhounds, who are 17-5 overall, are 16-5 in regional games, the main criteria for the regional rankings. Moravian's only non-regional game of the year was a season opening 82-73 win at Emmanuel College in Boston. The Greyhounds also have an opponents' winning percentage of 46.2 percent and an opponents' opponent winning percentage of 51.1 percent, the other two criteria used by the ranking committee.

Ursinus College is ranked first in the Mid-Atlantic Region, followed by Gettysburg College, Widener University, Messiah College, DeSales University, Albright College, York College of Pennsylvania and Moravian. The Greyhounds, who are 8-3 in Landmark Conference action, will return to the court on Saturday, February 16th in a Landmark Conference game at Goucher College tipping off at 7:30 p.m. in Baltimore.  Moravian can clinch a berth in the Landmark Conference Tournament with a victory.
