MORAVIAN’S ALYSSA BISCI NAMED LANDMARK CONFERECE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore forward Alyssa Bisci (Easton, PA/Easton HS) of the Moravian College women’s basketball team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Bisci, who was also the Landmark Conference Player of the Week back on December 10th, led the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record last week in a pair of Landmark Conference road victories, keeping Moravian tied for second in the conference standings.  Bisci averaged 17.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Bisci started the weekend with 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists in a 72-62 win at Goucher College.  She then scored another 17 points and added four rebounds and three steals in an 81-57 victory at The Catholic University of America.

Bisci was 10 of 15 from the floor (66.7 percent) and 14 of 18 at the foul line (77.8 percent) during the week.  She committed just three turnovers while playing 57 minutes.

Moravian, 16-8 overall and 9-4 in Landmark Conference action, will close out the 2007-08 regular season on Saturday, February 23rd versus The University of Scranton, tipping off at 5:30 p.m. in Johnston Hall.  The Greyhounds can clinch the second seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament with a victory or a Juniata College loss to Susquehanna University on Saturday.
