MORAVIAN’S BOCCHINO NAMED TO D3football.com TEAM OF THE WEEK

MINNEAPOLIS, MN --- Senior defensive lineman Doug Bocchino (Madison, NJ/Madison HS) of the Moravian College football team has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his performance in the Greyhounds’ 42-3 victory at McDaniel College last Saturday to begin the 2008 Centennial Conference season.

Bocchino, who was also named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, helped anchor the Greyhounds defense that allowed just 113 total yards and 30 passing yards in the win at McDaniel. Bocchino registered six tackles in the game including two and a half for loss and one and a half of Moravian’s five sacks in the contest. Moravian had 28 different players make a tackle in the game.

Moravian will play its final non-conference game of the season on Saturday, September 20th at Lebanon Valley College with kickoff slated for 1:00 p.m. in Annville, Pennsylvania.
