FIVE MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has five student-athletes ranked in the fourth NCAA Division III statistical rankings of 2008 through games of September 28th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in seven team categories.

Senior running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is 45th in rushing with 102.3 yards per game, tied for 17th in scoring at 12.0 points per contest and 23rd in all-purpose yardage at 172.0 yards per game.

Senior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS) is tied for fourth in the country in field goals per game at 1.50 while senior running back Tyler deRouen (West Milford, NJ/West Milford HS) is tied for 65th in rushing with an average of 92.0 yards per game. 

Senior defensive lineman Doug Bocchino (Madison, NJ/Madison HS) is tied for 12th in sacks with 1.39 per game while senior quarterback Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is 67th in passing efficiency with a 133.03 rating. 

Moravian is ninth in the nation in rushing offense at 262.8 yards per game, and the team is fourth in turnover margin at +3.0 per game.  The Greyhounds are also 18th in scoring defense at 10.8 points per game, 20th in sacks allowed at 0.75 per game, 24th in sacks at 3.25 per game, 33rd in pass efficiency defense at 91.63 and 49th in total defense at 267.8 yards per contest.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 4th in a Centennial Conference game at Dickinson College.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Biddle Field in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
