SIX MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has six student-athletes ranked in the fifth NCAA Division III statistical rankings of 2008 through games of October 5th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in eight team categories.

Senior running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is tied for 64th in rushing with 90.8 yards per game, tied for 49th in scoring at 9.6 points per contest and 34th in all-purpose yardage at 155.8 yards per game.

Senior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS) is tied for 14th in the country in field goals per game at 1.20 while senior running back Tyler deRouen (West Milford, NJ/West Milford HS) is 80th in rushing with an average of 84.6 yards per game. 

Senior defensive lineman Doug Bocchino (Madison, NJ/Madison HS) is tied for 4th in sacks with 1.10 per game while senior quarterback Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is 91st in passing efficiency with a 123.65 rating.  Senior punter Michael Voskian (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan HS) is 56th in punting at 37.3 yards per punt.

Moravian is 21st in the nation in rushing offense at 231.4 yards per game, and the team is seventh in turnover margin at +2.0 per game.  The Greyhounds are also 18th in scoring defense at 11.8 points per game, 46th in sacks allowed at 1.20 per game, tied for 43rd in sacks at 2.60 per game, 37th in pass efficiency defense at 96.40, tied for 42nd in passing defense at 147.4 yards per game and 50th in total defense at 276.6 yards per contest.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 11th in a Centennial Conference game at Gettysburg College.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
