MORAVIAN NAMES MATT GARR AS HEAD EQUIPMENT MANAGER

BETHLEHEM, PA --- Matt Garr ’08 has been named the head equipment manager for the Moravian College athletic department.

“We are excited to have Matt join our staff on a permanent basis,” said Moravian College Assistant Director of Athletics and Head Softball Coach John Byrne. “Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position after working with several of Moravian’s athletic teams during his four years as a student.”

Garr will oversee a staff of two part-time assistant equipment managers as well as a student staff.  Garr will supervise all aspects of athletic equipment operations. He will assist all staff with purchasing as well as become certified in equipment fitting.

Garr is a 2008 graduate of Moravian College, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.  While as student, he was a manager for the football and softball teams for four years as well as working on the set-up crew for men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball contests. He is also a graduate of Notre Dame of Green Pond High School in Easton, Pennsylvania.
