MORAVIAN’S BODINE NAMED ECAC DIVISION III SOUTHWEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CAPE COD, MA --- Junior defensive back Brad Bodine (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor HS) of the Moravian College football team has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Southwest Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Greyhounds’ 23-20 Centennial Conference victory over Franklin & Marshall College last Saturday afternoon at Rocco Calvo Field.

Bodine, who was also named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Sunday for his efforts, registered eight tackles with solo stops, and he had an interception that included a 33-yard return that set up Moravian’s third field goal in the game and gave the team its first lead of the game.  Bodine finished the game with two passes defended after breaking up a F&M’s first drive in the fourth quarter after Moravian had taken the 23-20 lead.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 25th in a Centennial Conference game at Juniata College with kickoff slated for 1:00 p.m. in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania for Moravian’s final road game of the 2008 season.
