MORAVIAN’S ARIELLE CALDAS & DIANA FELDMAN HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE
WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Freshman forward Arielle Caldas (Cherry Hills, NJ/Cherry Hills West HS) of the Moravian College women’s soccer team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Soccer player of the Week while freshman defender Diana Feldman (York, PA/Central York HS) has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for their performances last week while leading Moravian to the Landmark Conference Tournament Championship.

Caldas, pictured at right, netted her tenth goal of the season, and the second goal of the match in a 2-0 victory over Juniata College in the semifinals.  Caldas then had the game-winning goal, her fifth of the season, in the 108th minute in a 1-0, double-overtime win over The Catholic University of America in the championship match.

Feldman, pictured at left, was on the field as one of Moravian's key defenders for all 198 minutes in the conference tournament as the Greyhounds posted shutouts of Juniata and Catholic.  Feldman and the Greyhounds defense have not allowed a goal in the last 313:26 of action and just one goal in the team's last 512 minutes of action.  Feldman has started in all 21 matches for the Greyhounds, one of only two players to start every match this fall for Moravian.

Moravian, which is 14-5-2 overall, is scheduled to return to action in the first round of the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament on Saturday, November 15th in a first round match versus The College of New Jersey in Saratoga Springs, New York at Skidmore College.  The starting time of the match has not been determined at this time.
