MORAVIAN’S SARAH CARMAN NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore midfielder Sarah Carman (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge HS) of the Moravian College women’s lacrosse team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Carman led Moravian with seven ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers in Moravian's 13-5 loss to Swarthmore College in the Tri-Co Invitational to begin the 2009 season.  She also had four shots, all on goal, in the match.

Moravian will return to action on Wednesday, March 11th in a non-conference match at rival Muhlenberg College beginning at 4:00 p.m. in Allentown.
