MORAVIAN’S OLIVIA EVANKO & JENNA CARMON NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE SOFTBALL
PLAYER & PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Freshman outfielder Olivia Evanko (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth HS) of the Moravian College softball team has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Player of the Week while freshman pitcher/designated player Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central HS) earn Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week accolades for their performances last week.

Evanko, pictured at right, hit a blistering .818 last week in a 4-0 week for the Greyhounds.  She had nine hits in 11 at-bats with a double, a triple, five runs and four RBIs while recording two putouts in center field.

Carmon, pictured at left, posted a 2-0 week in the circle for Moravian as the Greyhounds did not allow a run on four games.  Carmon began the week with a one-hit shutout of Elizabethtown College that included ten strikeouts.  She then tossed three innings with a hit and a strikeout in a five-inning shutout of USMMA.  When not pitching, Carmon hit .778 last week with seven hits in nine at-bats with two doubles, four runs, four RBIs and in the field she had a put out and three assists.

Moravian will return to action on Tuesday, March 31st in a non-conference doubleheader at DeSales University in Center Valley.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
