MORAVIAN’S NATHANIEL TUSSEY HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Senior hurdler/sprinter Nathaniel Tussey (Perkiomenville, PA/Boyertown HS) of the Moravian College men’s outdoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for his performance

Tussey, who was also named the Landmark Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week on March 30th, captured the 110-meter high hurdles in an NCAA Division III provisional and ECAC qualifying time of 14.77 seconds, and he won the 400-meter hurdles in an ECAC qualifying time of 55.13 seconds to help Moravian to a third place team finish among 12 teams at the 2009 New Jersey Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey.  Tussey also ran a leg of Moravian's 4x100-meter relay team that captured first place in an ECAC qualifying time of 42.41 seconds.  Tussey was eighth in the 200-meter dash in 23.18 seconds while competing in the event for the first time this season.

Moravian will return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 17th and 18th when the team hosts the Greyhound Invitational at Rocco Calvo Field and Timothy Breidegam Track.
