MORAVIAN’S KEVIN HOLZE HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Freshman Kevin Holze (Bayside, NY/St. Francis Prep HS) of the Moravian College men’s tennis team has been honored as the Landmark Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for his performance last week.

Holze went a combined 3-1 last week to help Moravian win a pair of matches to clinch the second seed in the 2009 Landmark Conference Tournament.  Holze moved up to second singles this week due to an injury and won both his singles matches to improve to 20-3 on the year.  The 20 wins is the Moravian school record.  Holze was 1-1 at second doubles with partner freshman Drew Shreter (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown HS), and the victory was the duo's 14th of the season, a new school record.

Moravian, which is 12-5 on the season and 6-1 in Landmark Conference contests, will return to action on Tuesday, April 28th in a Landmark Conference Semifinal versus The University of Scranton starting at 3:30 p.m. at Hoffman Courts in Bethlehem.
