MORAVIAN’S ROBERT DEVINE & BENJAMIN LARSON NAMED TO LANDMARK MEN’S LACROSSE ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS

MADISON, N.J. --- Sophomore midfielder Robert Devine (Mountain Lakes, NJ/Mountain Lakes HS) of the Moravian College men’s lacrosse team has been named to the 2009 Landmark All-Conference First Team while senior goalie Benjamin Larson (Dover, DE/Dover HS) earned a spot on the Landmark All-Conference Second Team as released by the conference office.

Moravian posted a 4-12 record this spring, and the Greyhounds were 1-5 in the Landmark Conference regular season.

Devine, who was named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team a year ago, contributed 21 goals and a team high 22 assists for a team leading 43 points.  He was second on the team in goals scored with two man-up goals, a man-down goals and a game-winning goal.  Devine, pictured at right, also added 43 ground balls, ten caused turnovers and won 13 of 52 face-off attempts.

Larson, pictured at left, returned to the Moravian line-up this spring after missing almost the entire 2008 season with an injury.  He had a 12.06 goals-against average, 182 saves, a .532 save percentage, 41 ground balls and five caused turnovers in 796 minutes in goal.  Larson completed his career as the school record holder with 561 saves, an 11.81 goals-against average and eight wins.  He also had 166 career ground balls.
