THREE GREYHOUNDS NAMED TO 2009 LANDMARK WOMEN’S TENNIS ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS;
Jami Fein Named Player and Rookie of the Year

MADISON, NJ --- The Moravian College women’s tennis team has had three student-athletes earn spots on the 2009 Landmark All-Conference Teams with freshman Jami Fein (Blue Bell, PA/Wissahickon HS) being named both the Landmark Conference Player of the Year and Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year while earning spots on the Landmark All-Conference First Team as a singles player and as a doubles tandem with senior Dyana Swan (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS).

Swan also earned Landmark All-Conference First Team honors while sophomore Kerry McKinley (Sparta, NJ/Pope John XXIII HS) was named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team.

The Landmark All-Conference Teams were selected by the conference’s seven head coaches.  The teams consist of six singles players and three doubles pairings per team based on flight.

Moravian head coach Dawn Ketterman-Benner had the Greyhounds in the postseason for the 15th straight season after leading the Greyhounds to a 14-5 overall record and a perfect 6-0 mark in the Landmark Conference for a second straight season as the Greyhounds captured their second consecutive Landmark Conference Championship.  Ketterman-Benner, who has a career mark of 237-89, has led Moravian to the conference championship match in each of the last 15 years, and the program has won ten conference titles.

Fein, pictured at right, had an 18-2 singles record in her debut season, tying for third in the school record book for singles wins in a season, and she had a 14-2 mark at first singles.  In doubles action, Swan and Fein were 14-5 at first doubles, tied for the fourth most doubles victories in a single season.

Swan, who was on the Landmark All-Conference First Team last year as a doubles player, had a 9-10 singles slate of her own this season with a 9-9 record at second singles.  Swan, pictured at left, finished her career tied for fourth in school history with 40 career doubles victories.

McKinley, who was the 2008 Landmark Conference Rookie of the year, led the Greyhounds with a 20-2 record including an 18-1 mark at fourth singles.  McKinley’s, pictured at bottom right, victory total set a new single season school record at Moravian for a singles player.
