MORAVIAN’S BLAIR MAGINNIS & ERIC WOODRUFF HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE
MEN’S TRACK & FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Senior thrower Blair Maginnis (Asbury, NJ/Warren Hills Regional HS) of the Moravian College men’s indoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week while sophomore sprinter Eric Woodruff (Brodheadsville, PA/Pius X HS) was honored as the Landmark Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for their performances last week.

The Greyhounds placed first of 16 schools at the Frank Colden Invitational hosted by Ursinus College.  Moravian had a team score of 93 points while Johns Hopkins University was the runner-up with 68 points.

Maginnis, pictured at top right, captured the shot put at the Frank Colden Invitational and earned ten points with his ECAC qualifying toss of 14.83 meters (48 feet, eight inches).

Woodruff, pictured at left, earned 20 points with a runner-up in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.66 seconds in the finals after running 6.72 seconds in the preliminaries.  Woodruff was also the runner-up in the 200-meter dash as well in 23.03, and he ran on the 4x200-meter relay team that was fifth in 1:35.96.

Moravian will compete twice this weekend, first at the Cornell Open (multi-events) at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York on Friday evening and then at the Bucknell University Winter Classic in Lewisburg on Saturday.
