THREE GREYHOUNDS, MORAVIAN TEAM RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III WOMEN’S BASKETBALL STATISTICS
Greyhounds Lead Nation in Free Throw Percentage

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Three members of the Moravian College women’s basketball team and the Greyhound squad are ranked in the eighth NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2008-09 season including games through February 15th.

Junior forward Alyssa Bisci (Easton, PA/Easton HS) is ranked third in the country in free throw percentage at 91.2 percent having made 114 of 125 free throw attempts in 23 games.  Bisci, pictured at right, had made a school record 50 straight free throws from December 12th to January 25th. 

Junior guard Jessica Foran (Annandale, NJ/Rutgers Prep HS), pictured at left, is 13th in the nation in free throw percentage at 88.3 percent for the season, and she is 83 of 94 at the line in 23 games. 

Sophomore guard/forward Amy Heffner (Schnecksville, PA/Parkland HS), pictured at bottom right, is 24th in the country in free throw percentage at 87.1 percent, having made 61 of 70 free throw attempts in the 22 games she has played in.

Moravian remained top team in the nation in free throw percentage this season for the fifth straight week at 80.5 percent, making 495 of 615 free throw attempts, both also the top numbers in the country.  The Greyhounds are 21st in scoring offense at 74.9 points per game, tied for 26th in won-loss percentage at 83.3 percent and 34th in blocked shots with 4.5 per contest.

The Greyhounds, who are 20-4 overall and 10-3 in Landmark Conference action, will close out the 2008-09 regular season on Saturday, February 21st when the Greyhounds travel to The University of Scranton for a Landmark Conference game at 5:30 p.m. in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
