MORAVIAN’S MAURA ACOX RANKED IN NCAA FIELD HOCKEY STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Moravian College junior goalie Maura Acox (Old Bridge, NJ/St. John Vianney HS) is ranked in the second NCAA Division III Field Hockey statistics release of the 2009 season.

Acox is 27th in goals-against average at 1.09.  Acox has allowed just seven goals in 450 minutes of action, and she has 22 saves to go with three shutouts and a 4-2 record.

Moravian is 39th in the nation in shutouts per game with an average of 0.38, and the Greyhounds are 43rd in the country in goals-against average at 1.36.

The Greyhounds, who are 4-4 on the season, will return to action on Wednesday, September 23rd in a non-conference match versus rival Muhlenberg College on Betty Prince Field beginning at 4:00 p.m.
