MORAVIAN’S BRAD BODINE, TRAVIS KING & LANGSTON ROSS RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has three players ranked in the fifth NCAA Division III statistical rankings of 2009 through games of October 4th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in one team category.

Senior defensive back Brad Bodine (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor HS) is tied for 42nd in the nation in interceptions with an average of 0.60 per game.  Bodine, pictured at right, has intercepted three passes with 15 return yards in five contests, and he had two interceptions at Johns Hopkins University.

Freshman defensive back/kick returner Travis King (Wilmington, DE/Concord HS) is 57th in the nation in punt returns with an average of 9.71 yards per return, and King, pictured at left, is 79th in kickoff returns at 24.13 yards per return.  King has seven punt returns for 68 yards and 15 kickoff returns for 362 yards this fall.

Freshman running back/kick returner Langston Ross (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty HS) is 36th in the country in kickoff returns, averaging 27.38 yards per return.  Ross, pictured at right, has returned eight kickoffs for 219 yards this season with a long return of 52 yards versus McDaniel College.

Moravian is 16th in the nation in kickoff returns with an average of 25.38 yards per return on 24 kickoff returns this season, and the Greyhounds lead the Centennial Conference in kickoff returns.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 10th in a Centennial Conference game versus Gettysburg College.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field in Bethlehem.
