MORAVIAN’S JENNA CARMON HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore pitcher Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central HS) of the Moravian College softball team has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Carmon helped Moravian post a 5-1 record last week with a 4-1 mark in the circle.  Carmon had a 0.24 ERA, four complete games, two shutouts of Drew University to open the 2010 Landmark Conference season, 19 hits, three runs, just one earned, three walks and 23 strikeouts in 29 1/3 innings.  Carmon's only loss was a 6-5, eight-inning loss at Elizabethtown College, when she tossed the final 1 1/3 innings in relief.  Carmon also had four hits in 17 at-bats with five runs and an RBI.  She also had nine assists in nine chances in the field.

The Greyhounds, who are 12-6 overall, 2-0 in Landmark Conference action and receiving votes in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 Poll, are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 30th in a non-conference doubleheader versus DeSales University at Blue & Grey Field beginning at 3:00 p.m.
