TWO GREYHOUNDS, TEAM RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III BASEBALL STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Two members of the Moravian College baseball team, and Greyhound squad are ranked in the second NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2010 season including games through March 28th.

Sophomore first baseman/pitcher Kevin O’Keefe (Alexandria, VA/Bishop Ireton HS) is ranked in five categories including being tied for 27th in RBIs per game at 1.64.  O’Keefe, pictured at right, is also 29th in slugging percentage at .870, tied for 46th in batting average at .478, tied for 50th in home runs per game at 0.29 and tied for 83rd in home runs with four.

Junior outfielder Jason Huber (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty HS) is tied for tied for 44th in runs per game at 1.45, and he is tied for 95th in triples per game at 0.18.

Moravian is tied for 50th in the country in double plays per game with an average of 1.0.  The Greyhounds have turned 14 double plays in 14 games.

The Greyhounds, who are 8-6 on the season, are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, April 1st in a non-conference game versus Centenary College beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Gillespie Field.
