MORAVIAN’S ERIC WOODRUFF & GARY ZACK HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE
MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Junior sprinter Eric Woodruff (Brodheadsville, PA/Pius X) of the Moravian College men’s outdoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week while sophomore thrower Gary Zack (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) for their performances last week.

Woodruff, pictured at right, won a pair of events and was a pair of one winning relay for Moravian at its own Coach P Open.  He placed first in the 200, running an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 21.75, and also won the 100 in an ECAC qualifying time of 10.82.  Both times are the fastest in the Landmark this season. He also ran on Moravian’s winning 4x100 relay, and on the 4x400 relay that placed second.

Zack, pictured at left, turned in one of the best finishes for the Greyhounds at its own Coach P Open.  He placed third in the javelin, finishing behind two Division I competitors and posted an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 59.81 meters. The throw was the best in the Landmark this season.  He also added a 10th-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 37.51.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday, April 16th when they are set to host the Greyhound Invitational right here in Bethlehem, PA.
