MORAVIAN’S SYMONNE SCOTT AND ANNA HEIM HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE
WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Senior sprinter Symonne Scott (Attleboro, MA/Attleboro) and senior pole vault Anna Heim (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) of the Moravian College women’s outdoor track & field team have been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week for their performances last week.

Scott, pictured right, had several strong performances for the Greyhounds at their own Greyhound Invitational. She ran 12.80, the fastest time in the Landmark this season and an ECAC qualifying time,to place fourth in the 100-meter dash at the meet. She added a 20th-place finish with a mark of 27.94 in the 200 and ran a leg on Moravian’s ECAC qualifying 4x100 relay that placed second in a time of 48.73.She also added an NCAA provisional jump in the long jump.

Heim, pictured at left, won the pole vault event for Moravian for the fourth-straight year at the Greyhound Invitational. The senior cleared 3.80-meters to earn the win, and that mark is both an NCAA provisional qualifying height and the best mark in the Landmark in the outdoor season.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Thursday, April 22nd when they are set compete at the Penn Relays hosted by the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
