MORAVIAN’S BRENDAN CLOSE HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore pitcher Brendan Close (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom HS) of the Moravian College baseball team has been named the Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.

Close tossed a complete game for a victory in a Landmark win over Drew. He went all seven innings, scattering four hits and surrendering just one unearned run in a 2-1 Greyhound win. He fanned seven hitters, and did not allow an extra base hit in the contest.

The Greyhounds, who are 20-11 overall and 11-4 in Landmark Conference action are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 28th in a non-conference game at Misericordia University starting at 4:00 p.m. in Dallas, PA.
