THREE GREYHOUNDS, TEAM RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III SOFTBALL STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Three players from the Moravian College softball team, and the Greyhound squad are ranked in the eighth NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2010 season including games through April 25th.

Sophomore pitcher/infielder Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central HS), pictured right, is ranked in six categories including being 16th inthe country in walks per seven innings at 0.83.  Carmon is also tied for 16th in wins with 19, tied for 40th in shutouts with five, 47th in hits allowed per game at 5.41, 32nd in ERA in 1.38 and tied for 35th insaves with two.

Freshman outfielder/shortstop Katie Gross (Allentown, PA/Parkland HS), picutred left, is ranked second in the nation in sacrifice hits per game at 0.55.

Freshmen infielder Amanda Dizinno (Budd Lake, NJ/Mount Olive), pictured right, is currently ranked 68th in toughest to strike out in the nation.

The Greyhounds, who are 27-11 on the season, are 13th in the nation in ERA at 1.40.  

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday, May 7th as they are set to host the Landmark Conference Tournament and open up against #4 Juniata College starting at 11:00 a.m. at Blue & Gray Field.
