MORAVIAN’S JACOB MILLEN & CHRIS MORRISON HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE BASEBALL
PLAYER & PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Junior designated hitter Jacob Millen (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall HS) of the Moravian College baseball team has been named the Landmark Conference Player of the week while senior pitcher Chris Morrison (Middlesex, NJ/Immaculata HS) was named the Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week for their performances last week.
The duo helped Moravian win its first Landmark Conference title, the school’s first conference championship since 1990, and an automatic berth to the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, the first-ever in Moravian baseball history.
Millen, pictured at right, was seven-for-ten in the tournament with four runs scored, two home runs and ten RBIs.  He also had a .667 on-base percentage and a 1.300 slugging percentage.
Morrison, pictured at left, tossed a four-hit shutout in the opening game of the tournament, a 13-0 win over Juniata College.  It was his fifth complete game of the year, and first shutout with eight strikeouts and no walks.  The win was Morrison's seventh of the season, tying the school record for a single season.
The Greyhounds, who are 26-13 overall, a school record for victories, will return to action on Wednesday, May 19th in the opening round of the NCAA Regionals at a site to be announced on May 17th.
