MORAVIAN’S JACOB MILLEN NAMED CO-NATIONAL HITTER OF THE WEEK

            NEWBERG, OR --- Junior designated hitter Jacob Millen (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall HS) of the Moravian College baseball team has been named the Co-National Division III Hitter of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association for his performance last week.
            Millen helped Moravian win its first Landmark Conference title, the school’s first conference championship since 1990, and an automatic berth to the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, the first-ever in Moravian baseball history.
            Millen, who was also named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week this past Monday, was seven-for-ten in the tournament with four runs scored, two home runs and ten RBIs.  He also had a .667 on-base percentage and a 1.300 slugging percentage.
            The Greyhounds, who are 26-13 overall, a school record for victories, will return to action on Wednesday, May 19th in the opening round of the NCAA Regionals at a site to be announced on May 17th.
