MORAVIAN’S BLAKE ENGLISH RANKED NATIONALLY IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College men’s basketball team has one player ranked and the squad is ranked in two categories in the eighth NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2009-10 season for games through February 14th.

Freshman center Blake English (Sussex, NJ/Vernon Township HS) is ranked 65th in the country in blocked shots with an average of 1.6 blocks per game.  English has 34 blocked shots in 21 games during his debut season.

The Greyhounds are 25th in free throw percentage this season at 74.7 percent, making 284 of-380 free throw attempts, and Moravian is 43rd in the nation in blocked shots at 4.1 per game. 

Moravian, which is 6-16 overall and 2-9 in Landmark Conference action, will return to the court on Tuesday, February 16th in a Landmark Conference game at Goucher College tipping off at 7:30 p.m. in Towson, Maryland.
