THREE GREYHOUNDS RANKED IN NCAA FIELD HOCKEY STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College field hockey team has three individuals ranked in the second NCAA Division III Field Hockey statistics release of the 2010 season for contests through September 19th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in five categories.

Senior midfielder Maureen Helfers (Westbury, NY/W.T. Clarke HS), pictured at right, is sixth in the country with an average of 1.17 assists per game, with seven assists in Moravian’s opening six matches of the year.

Sophomore forward Briana Van Buskirk (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg HS), pictured at left, is tied for 29th in goals per game at 1.17 after seven goals in six matches, and she is tied for 45th in points per game at 2.33 with 14 points this fall.

Senior forward Becky Renaldo (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at right, is tied for 43rd in points per game at 2.4 with 12 points in five matches, and Renaldo is tied for 36th in goals per game at 1.0 with five goals this season.

Moravian is 18th in the nation in assists per match at 2.5, and the Greyhounds are tied for 30th in points per game at 8.5, tied for 33rd in penalty corners per game at 11.17, tied for 33rd in scoring average at 3.0, and tied for 33rd in goals per game at 3.0.

The Greyhounds, who are 4-3 on the season, will return to action on Saturday, September 25th versus Drew University as Moravian opens its 2010 Landmark Conference season at 1:00 p.m. at Betty Prince Field.
