MORAVIAN’S MATTHEW LUTCZA NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Junior Matthew Lutcza (Dingmans Ferry, PA/Delaware Valley HS) of the Moravian College men’s cross country team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for his performance last week.

Lutcza, who is the Landmark Conference Runner of the Week for the third time in five weeks, was the first runner across the line at the Landmark Championship this past weekend. He set a new course record; running 26:46.40 to win the race in what marked the second-fastest winning time in the four-year history of the Landmark Championship.  Lutcza was also named the 2010 Landmark Conference Runner of the Year for his efforts. 

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, November 13th in the 2010 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional being hosted by Carnegie Mellon University at Cooper’s Lake, Pennsylvania.
