MORAVIAN’S PEZZELLO NAMED TO LANDMARK FIELD HOCKEY ALL-CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore defender Stephanie Pezzello (Holmdel, NJ/St. John Vianney HS) of the Moravian College field hockey team has been to the 2010 Landmark All-Conference Field Hockey Second Team announced Thursday.

Pezzello helped the Greyhounds to a 5-13 record this fall and an 0-6 record in Landmark Conference action.  Of Moravian’s 13 losses, nine were by one goal including five in the final minutes of regulation, in overtime or penalty strokes.

Pezzello led Moravian with six of the team 13 defensive saves, and she played in 16 of 18 matches, missing two because of an injury.  In 34 career matches for the Greyhounds, Pezzello has recorded 12 defensive saves.
