MORAVIAN’S GRIMES & RILEY TO LANDMARK MEN’S SOCCER ALL-CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM

MADISON, NJ --- Senior defender Gary Grimes (Wall, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy HS) and freshman midfielder Hugh Riley (Tinton Falls, NJ/Monmouth Regional HS) of the Moravian College men’s soccer team have been named to the 2010 Landmark Men’s Soccer All-Conference Second Team announced Monday.

The duo helped the Greyhounds to a 5-12-1 record this season including two wins by shutout and a 3-3-1 mark in the Landmark Conference regular season. 

Grimes, who was on the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in 2008 before missing all of 2009 with an injury, had a goal and an assist for three points this season.  Grimes, pictured at top right, had five goals and five assists for 15 points in 57 career matches for Moravian.

Riley, pictured at left, was Moravian’s leading scorer in his debut season with six goals and two assists for 14 points.  He had a pair of game-winning goals as well as a two-goal match in a 3-1 win at Goucher College.
