GREYHOUND WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD TEAM RETURNS TO 25TH IN NCAA DIVISION III TOP 25

NEW ORLEANS, LA --- The Moravian College women’s track & field team has returned to the rankings and is 25th in the nation in the sixth NCAA Division III Indoor Top 25 of the 2011 indoor season released by the U S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Wednesday.

The Greyhounds have a team score of 32.63 points, and returned to the rankings after dropping out last week while the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is ranked first at 182.17 points.  Moravian was 25th in the third poll of the year and moved up to 24th two weeks ago before dropping out last week.

The scoring system for the teams shall be the sum of two factors measured per individual/relay performance on the national descending-order lists: place on the descending order list and a weighed value of the individual/relay performance based on the field (“bonus”).  Complete information and the polls can also be found at http://www.ustfccca.org/rankings/division-iii-rankings.

Moravian will return to action on Friday and Saturday, March 4th and 5th when they are set to travel to the 2011 ECAC Division III Indoor Championships being hosted by New York University at the NYC Armory.
