MORAVIAN SOFTBALL SQUAD FALLS TO 23RD IN LATEST NFCA DIVISION III TOP 25 POLL

STARKVILLE, MS --- The Moravian College softball team fell 12 spots to 23rd in the third regular season National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll for 2011 released Wednesday. 

Linfield (OR) College received eight first-place votes and holds down the top spot with 200 points while Louisiana College is second with 191 points.  Eastern Connecticut State University is third with 179 points while Luther (IA) College is fourth with 169 points and Messiah College is fifth with 156 points. 

The Greyhounds, who were seventh in the preseason poll, tied for ninth in the first regular season poll and 11th last week, have 38 points.

Moravian is currently 3-2 on the season including a 5-3 loss to tenth-ranked Emory (GA) University.  The Greyhounds are scheduled to play 24th-ranked The College of New Jersey on Thursday, March 17th in Ewing.
