MORAVIAN’S JENNA CARMON NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Junior pitcher/first baseman Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central HS) of the Moravian College softball team has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Carmon helped the nationally-ranked Moravian softball team to a 7-2 record on the squad's Spring Break trip to the National Training Center in Clermont, Florida.  Carmon had a 3-1 record in the circle with a 0.57 ERA in 24.2 innings of action.  She allowed eight runs, just two earned, on 18 hits and five walks with 21 strikeouts.  At the plate, Carmon hit .409 (9-for-22) with 6 runs, 8 RBIs, 3 doubles, 3 walks and 3 sacrifices.  Carmon also had 12 putouts and ten assists in the field while playing in eight games.

The 23rd-ranked Greyhounds, 7-2 overall, are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, March 17th in a non-conference doubleheader at 24th-ranked The College of New Jersey beginning at 3:00 p.m.
