MORAVIAN’S STEPHANIE FALZARANO NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Senior infielder Stephanie Falzarano (South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield HS) of the Moravian College softball team has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Falzarano helped Moravian earn a doubleheader split at #23 The College of New Jersey in her only two games of the week.  In the Greyhounds' 3-0 victory in the opening game, Falzarano was two-for-four with a pair of RBI doubles and scoring the team's other run.  She was two-for-three in the second game, and Falzarano had five putouts and four assists in nine chances in the field.

The 25th-ranked Greyhounds, 9-3 overall, are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 22nd in a non-conference doubleheader versus Elizabethtown College beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field as Moravian opens its 2011 home season.
