MORAVIAN’S MICAH LEONARD NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Sophomore Micah Leonard (York, PA/William Penn HS) of the Moravian College women’s outdoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Leonard helped Moravian open its 2011 outdoor season with a seventh place finish at the Lafayette College 9-Way Meet.  Leonard earned eight of Moravian's 27 points with a pair of four place finishes.  She was fourth in the in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying leap of 5.42 meters (17 feet, 9 1/2 inches), and Leonard was fourth in the triple jump at 10.88 meters (35 feet, 8 1/2 inches).

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 8th and 9th when they host the Coach P. Open at Rocco Calvo Field and Timothy Breidegam Track.  Action is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and at 10:00 a.m.
